Beaufort – southern town with real charm by USA Today

Beaufort, SC has done it again! Recognized in an article published by USA Today, Beaufort is ranked number one as Southern Living’s 2017 South’s Best 10 Small Towns.

According to USA Today’s article “Southern Towns with Real Character”, Beaufort is described as the most beautiful town in the South surrounded by water. It also noted that it is a town that lives to eat and “when folks come for the history, the restaurants keep them satisfied” – with shrimp and grits for breakfast and seafood for lunch and dinner. Although the town’s cuisine is amazing, the food is not the only great part of Beaufort. With its rich history and culture, it is no wonder why Beaufort is recognized as the top ranked southern town.
